·Reviewed 7/2026Google Analytics tells you what works in your marketing
Google Analytics is Google's analytics tool for measuring how your site and app are used, along with your marketing results. Configured properly, it tells you which channel delivers and where the next euro is best spent. We install, fix and interpret Google Analytics for you.
Mediashake builds and runs Google Analytics measurement so the data is reliable and you can make decisions on it. We have our own analytics team and our own processes for quality-assuring measurement.
What Google Analytics is, and why configuration matters
Google Analytics is Google's current analytics platform, the successor to Universal Analytics. It measures on an event basis: every page view, click and purchase is an event, and together they build a picture of the customer journey.
The tool is free and powerful, but only as reliable as its setup. Most of the Google Analytics problems we run into come down to configuration: conversions are missing, consent breaks the measurement, or the data doesn't match the ad channels.
When Google Analytics needs fixing
- The numbers don't match your ad channels or your online store
- Conversions are missing or haven't been defined around your business
- The reports don't tell you which channel actually delivers
How Mediashake uses Google Analytics
Audit and fix
We work out what is being measured today and what you can trust, then fix the setup: conversions, consent and events in order.
Connected to your advertising
We make sure Google Analytics conversion data flows to the ad channels, so the algorithms optimize on the right numbers.
Reports people actually read
We build Google Data Studio views that show what matters at a glance, without anyone having to learn the Google Analytics interface.
FAQ
- Is Google Analytics free?
- Yes. The standard version of Google Analytics is free and enough for most companies. The cost comes from the setup and upkeep, not the tool.
- Why do Google Analytics numbers differ from the ad channels?
- The channels measure with different logic: they count conversions from their own clicks, while Google Analytics splits the credit across the journey. Some difference is always there, but big gaps usually point to a setup problem worth fixing.
- What does cookie consent mean for Google Analytics?
- Without consent, some visitors go unmeasured, which skews the numbers. Consent Mode and server-side tracking fill the gap so the data stays usable and privacy stays in order.
- What does getting Google Analytics in order cost?
- An audit on its own is a light project; rebuilding the whole measurement is a bigger one. You get an accurate estimate in the discovery session, once the scope is clear.
